Empower Your MSLs to Better Connect with Healthcare Professionals
The MSL storytelling training is composed of three sessions each lasting approx. 2.5 hours each. The topics covered in the curriculum are tailored to align with your engagement focus and the MSL’s educational needs. The sessions include examples developed to your specific disease state and therapy. E.g. If the MSLs are struggling to connect with HCPs on the MoA, we could for example include an activity to create an engaging MoA analogy for your therapy. The sessions are run by a team of expert speakers chosen based on your geography and specific requirements.
Each workshop is highly interactive and theory is minimized to the essentials to keep the participants engaged and energized, the priority is giving the MSLs the skills to apply their learnings in the field. Fun homework assignments keep the learning going between sessions.
Session 1: Reframing storytelling: The Power of Scientific Narratives
This first session is all about diving into why storytelling isn’t just for novels and movies—it’s also an incredible tool in science. By blending narrative with data, storytelling can help you present complex science in a way that truly resonates with healthcare professionals.
During this interactive session we:
- Explore why storytelling enhances science, especially in complex fields like ours
- Discover how stories can be used to break down intricate data and engage your HCPs in fresh ways
- Explore the educational needs and preferences of the HCP audiences in your therapy area to promote targeted storytelling
- Get hands-on to craft succinct, impactful short stories that you can use immediately with your HCPs
Session 2: Scientific Storytelling in the Real World
This session will equip you with practical tools to take your storytelling to the next level compliantly.
During this interactive session, we:
- Discover how to use story arcs to create more dynamic and engaging narratives.
- Learn how to balance impactful storytelling with regulatory requirements to ensure your narratives remain clear, effective and compliant.
- Explore how to align your audience’s needs with your strategic imperatives to craft stories that resonate and deliver value.
Session 3: Beyond the Story – Confidence, Delivery, and Active Listening
In this session we’ll bring it all together and go beyond the content itself, focusing on how to communicate effectively and engage your audience.
During this interactive session, we:
- Analyze the impact of voice modulation, tone, and clarity on interactions
- Explore how to leverage elements of body language
- Practice using active listening techniques and spontaneous storytelling to become more persuasive and adaptable
